Alexander Technique

– for Musicians and Performers

The Alexander Technique is an educational method aimed at developing and refining how we use our bodies in movement and activity.

The method has a long and well-established tradition in music and the performing arts and is used internationally by musicians, singers, and performing artists who wish to work in a more sustainable, precise, and present manner.

In music-making and stage work, high demands are placed on coordination, endurance, and fine motor precision—often under time pressure. Small, unconscious patterns of tension can, over time, affect technique, expression, and well-being.

The Alexander Technique is not about changing your artistic technique, but about clarifying and developing the fundamental way in which you organize your body, breathing, and attention in what you do.

In lessons and courses, we work to bring habitual reaction patterns into conscious awareness and create better conditions for balance, coordination, and recovery. This work can contribute to reduced strain, increased freedom of movement, and greater stability—both physically and mentally.

Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like to discuss how an Alexander Technique course can be tailored to your specific context.
